From the Author...
Part Four of my series looks at the technical side of digital photos. You wish build on your cognition from Part Three and tweak your great photos to do them outstanding. You wish focus on a repeatable 10-step work flow and discover how to do small changes for a big impact.
One of the saddest things I've seen since the advent of digital cameras is the tendancy of new users to print their images without any post-processing. The ability to modify images in small route before having them written
is one of the greatest joys I've acknowledged since switch from film to digital. Sure, the film printing companies could do small corrections, but would-be charge me a fortune to do it. Now, all I need is my Windows PC and one software system application dedicated to images editing.
About every photograph taken requires at least several resizing, straightening, cropping, or sharpening. You'll discover the ease with which these changes can be made. On top of that, you'll gain the cognition of how to move out a piece of garbage from a green lawn, or move out an unwanted duck from a water scene. Take my photograph of Peggy's Cove on the cover of this book - it is such a popular tourer destination that I couldn't get a shot without folk in it, but look at the second images and you'll see that I was able to move out all the folk without a trace.
You'll besides gain much geeky computer cognition just about how digital cameras capture photos and what file formats and colour spaces they use to store that information digitally. We look at images type, how and once
to change colour spaces, the difference between images solution and images size, and how to size
your photograph for monitor display versus printer output.
That's right! This ebook is intended to manual amateur photographers and computer users through the chilling side of redaction digital photos. I wish explain how things work, right from the camera through to the algorithms used to sharpen your images. Every photograph is different, but there's a repeatable set of 10 steps you can print out and tape to your computer to help you remember what you should do and in what order.
